Marine Flange

Marine flat welding flange is a flange that welds the pipe into the inner circle of the flange. Flat welding flanges are divided into neck flat welding flanges and plate lap welding flanges. The advantage of marine flat welding flanges is that they are simple to manufacture and have low production costs, but they are not resistant to high temperatures and pressures, mainly used for pipelines with pressure below 2.5 MPa at room temperature, and are the most commonly used flanges in ships.

Marine butt welding flange, also known as high-neck flange, refers to a flange with a neck that has a round pipe transition and is connected to the pipe by butt welding. Marine loose sleeve flange, also known as live flange, is generally used when the material cost of the pipeline is very high. To reduce costs, it uses internal components of the same material as the pipeline and flanges of different materials. It utilizes flanges, steel rings, etc., to fit the flange over the pipe end, allowing the flange to move on the pipe end.

Marine butt welding flanges have high rigidity and are not easily deformed, have good sealing, and are widely used, suitable for occasions with high pressure and temperature, with a nominal pressure PN of around 16 MPa. They are mainly used in compressed air pipelines and carbon dioxide pipelines. Marine hydraulic flanges have very high pressure in their ship hydraulic pipelines, so they use specially made socket-type high-pressure flanges. The flange thickness varies from 30mm to 45mm depending on the pipe diameter, and this type of flange generally uses one concave flange and one convex flange connected with O-rings as sealing materials.
